Psychosocial oncology professionals in all disciplines and cancer advocates were encouraged to submit abstracts for presentation. The committee particularly encourages abstracts representing diverse ethnicities and cultures. The abstracts will be reviewed and selected for presentation based on importance and timeliness of topic, scientific rigor, appropriate analytic approach, meaningful findings, applicability to the theme and learning objectives of the meeting and clarity of writing.
APOS attendees represent a unique blend of both researchers and clinicians. To ensure that all attendees glean information relevant to their professional needs, all abstracts were required to include information relevant to both a clinical and research audience.
